When I mis-type "thought"
As "ought,"
My phone corrects to "bought."
Bought versus Thought.
The true American ideal
That fabulous wealth
Is a salve for the wounds
Of an abandoned generation,
And that thinking is second
To political correctness
And getting elected,
Or getting elated.
America the Beautiful,
Held together by Botox,
The past,
And retail therapy.
